Destination : Skadar lake, Montenegro

Lake Skadar also called Lake Scutari, Lake Shkodër and Lake Shkodra — lies on the border of Albania and Montenegro, the largest lake in the Balkan Peninsula. It is named after the city of Shkodër in northern Albania.

It is a karst lake. The Montenegrin part of the lake and its surrounding area were declared a national park in 1983. The Albanian part has been designated as a Managed Nature Reserve. In 1996, by Ramsar Convention on Wetlands, it was included in the Ramsar list of wetlands of international importance. Near the mouth of Rijeka Crnojevića, 11 m (36 ft) below the surface of the water there is a well preserved wreck of the steamboat Skanderbegsank by Partisans in 1942, during the Second World War.

“Traveling with a group is never an easy task, but Velvet Life made it very enjoyable and stressless. We loved Bosnia and all the nature it possesses. The part that made our trip even more relaxed is the fact we had a very luxurious van to travel with and a driver that was available to us 24/7. We are looking forward to come back to Bosnia with Velvet Life.”
